Tomorrow I leave on a Jet Plane for Arizona.
I'm going to be at the Fiesta bowl.
I don't think I'm getting much sleep between tomorrow and Thursday.
I'll back filming in Central Park on Wednesday.
Celebrating New Years a couple days late at B-sides on Thursday.
It's the official MEIK! returns to NYC party or MEIK '07(AZtoNYC).
If you have any free time in Phoenix between 2am and 4am Tuesday morning let me know.

The Oohlas from a top a TV(Updated)

This is what it would look like if you were the TV at Casa De Ultragrrrl.
All we really did was press record on our Nikon camera and let it roll.
The audio is a little behind I'm working on that right now.
We were worried about singing along maybe havin a bevy.....
We got some good videos from this show and also from the Merc and Urban.

The Oohlas are so awesome.
It's like we met back in 2003 or something.(we did i'll get to that later)
It may have involved sandwiches, cans of soda, and a tall man with orange hair...
Anyways they put on a great acoustic mini rock set Urban Outfitters on Friday (14th and 6th ave)The whole group was in great form as they moved all of the sweaters and sneakers aside.

It's only the start......

Project ME-EYE-KAY

So after watching the first three season of project runway and working on fashion I got the bug.
The fashion bug and I ain't talking about the women's boutique.
Frag put together a little bag making party..
Some peeps backed out so I stepped in saying hey I'll go.
The laughter I got from Frag was so hysterical.
It was a mixture of are you serious with a dash of oooooooooohkay...

So we packed up AMYnz's M6 and headed out the broken(Hoboken)
Down to M. Avery Designs at 266 Seventh Street, Corner of Willow Ave
After picking design parterns, fabrics, and liners we got down to busines.
Here's how it went down.

The whole thing was pretty funny
It was a lot of fun and the bag I made actually works which is amazing.
The girl that runs the story actually liked my design.
She said that pinnned on a 5th grade level, very proud i must say.
I just hoping to be better then a 2nd grade brownie.
I'm waiting to see my pattern for sale on their website.

I kinda missed demander's set....bummer we chatted and photoged.

Black Cracker and Bunny Rabbit

Sometimes we like to stay inside when it's cold.
Yeah well we havent' been listening to our self this week....

Bunny Rabbit and Black Cracker put on a pretty tight show at Lit Lounge.
I got to chat with them briefly right before their set.
They definitely put on really fun show
I think it was part of a new party called the make out party.
Plenty of kids out to have a good time

Holy Roller What....

Apparently I know some holy rollers who are putting on an event tonight at the Delancey.
We'll be doing laps with the demander and protokol.
We're bringing our roller skates, helmets and knee pads just in case.
Some of those kids from brooklyn can play a little ruff.
Bunny rabbit is gonna be at lit lounge tonight.
We may try to stop by if we get a chance

Christmas with the Oohlas, well kinda

So this week holiday parties start kicking in to full gear.
If yo haven't checked out ultragrrrl's site see the flyer below.
The first official show for the Oohlas in NYC.
The flyer says 8pm, the website for the merc says 830 pm and i bet the chalk sign at the door will say 9pm. I know how this works now. Rumor has the oohlas are also doing something at 4pm on the 15th as well at urban outfitters in nyc. Not sure which location yet. Could be a signing or performance. Who knows I'll try to hit up both.




Double side note those ravens are going to be ravenous tomorrow and saturday.
Tomorrow 12/7 Demander at the Mercury Lounge and Saturday 12/9 at the Delancey for a the Holy Roller Holiday Party. I'm not really sure what this is but I'll find out. It looks like some fun.

Our final recap for Boston is about a shop you need to check out.
Well after floating around on the duck tours seeing there is 40,000 sq ft skate park coming.
While roaming around Newbury Street we see cupcakes and bones(like skull and bones).
The name reveals itself getting frag and suarez so psyched for actual cupcakes.
They thought it was going to be a place like magnolia bakery, which would have been good too.
Wrong there was no flour just some cotton in sizes s-xxl @ johnnycupcakes.com
The were let down while I actually said this is so cool...

Not to be confused with Johnny Cakes from the Sopranos.
The t-shirt line actually dates back to January 2001
Musician starts making t-shirts as a joke

Really really cool designs and items in all sorts of color ways.
The layout of the shop is similar with Dave's Quality Meats in NYC but a bakery instead.
The boxes they give you have are munchkin boxes the JCC logo.
They had really nice staff with some very cute ladies.
Congrats on having the new shop open for 6 months.......
We'll have to make another trip up there soon.
